Anbagam - Integrated Programme for Senior Citizens (IPSrC) at Attur, Salem District
For the aged group of people who have been deserted by society and their family members, the Senior Citizens Home gives them an opportunity to spend their rest of life with all the basic facilities that they require during their aging. Anbagam serves 25 needy elders of both genders at Attur of Salem District under the support of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Out of 25, 12 are Female 13 are female.
At this reporting period, 3 deserted elders (2 male and 1 female) were newly admitted in Home and 3elders were reunited with their families successfully. Kitchen garden, newspaper reading, watching television programs, hearing radio, cleaning home environment and group singing are some of the periodical entertainment activities conducted at Home. The elders forget their worries and interestingly involved

in these activities. Periodical counselling to elders on one to one basis thereby they share their memories with each other and motivate their fellow inmates to feel happy. As the yoga was done at early morning and evening, the elders are feel free from joint pain, breathing trouble, body pain, BP and reduction of sugar. Elders having Blood pressure, Sugar are given medicines by Nurse. .
Celebrated important days and festivals such as Diwali, Pongal, Vinayahar Chaturthi, Republic day, Independence Day, World Elders Day and Ayudha Pooja along with local people participation. The District Social Welfare Officer, Village Administrative Officer and Revenue Officer were visited the project and given their guidance. The Home for the Aged felt satisfied of its services to the elderly through yoga, counselling support, medical camp, recreational activities and home visits.

INTEGRATED PROGRAMME FOR SENIOR CITIZENS at KALLAKURICHI (BIFURCATED FROM VILLUPURAM ) DISTRICT
During the year 2019-20, GPC has initiated age care services for the neglected Senior Citizens in and around backward areas of Kallakurichi. There is no other senior citizens home located in this district. Hence we initiated this home with the support of local community and able contribution by social welfare institutions, clubs, well 11 wishers. Our Senior Citizens Home is located at Chinnasalem high road of V. Krishnapuram Village, Chinnasalem Taluk of Kallakurichi District.
The home is run in a rented building with spacious facilities to accommodate 25 elders both men and women from neglected family and poor economic condition. We ensure the provision of peaceful lifestyle for old age people referred to us. Doctors are visiting twice in a week. The elders requiring emergency care is referred to nearby Government Hospital at Kallakurichi. We encourage elders to involve in day to day functioning of old age home right from kitchen activities and maintaining clean surroundings. The physical and mental condition of the elders have been improved well after their involvement in daily activities and healthy days routine.
INTEGRATED PROGRAMME FOR SENIOR CITIZENS at KRISHNAGIRI DISTRICT FOR 50 WOMEN ELDERS
Our age care services began to expand every year focussing on vulnerable and neglected elders. During the year 2019-20, we began our senior citizens home at Krishnagiri District for 50 elderly women who are neglected by their family members due to poor economic condition and other social factors. At present there are 27 elders under our care referred to us through police , local public, network institutions and individuals. The more active women give a helping hand in the kitchen. Medicines are provided for common age-related problems like high BP, diabetes, etc. Besides the routine activities, the able bodied elders are also taken out to temples, or other places of tourist attraction within the close vicinity.
The school children from neighbouring location also visiting and interacting with elders and performing cultural activities and creating bond between elders and children. Considering the needy services for elders, the local people also exuding their able support and cooperation.
