Gandhi Peace Center (GPC) runs 4 creche centre in rural villages of Coonoor Taluk, where there is a sizeable population of working mothers. 100 children have benefited. Total boys are 56 and girls are 44. At this reporting period, 64 children (36 Girls and 28 Boys) who crossed age of 5 enrolled at nearby Primary School to continue their primary education. Organised 80 Parents meetings and totally 964 members were participated. The meeting focused on oral polio vaccination, sanitation practice, birth & death registration, plantation around creche center. At each creche center, children were engaged with pictorial charts and by using low cost education materials that are locally available. Children were also educated on moral studies, human relations and gardening..
